Death to Eerick (Prototype  demo version)

This is a short prototype demo.  I'm currently working on the full game. 

I just finished the ~3-hour-long prologue, which you can play for free from here:

There are 5 different death animations (6 different death scenes).

This is a horror visual novel with point-and-click gameplay. Not for children. 

You can now test this game on the browser (it might be quite slow on the browser). For the best experience, I  recommend downloading it. 

Characters:

Eerick

Age: 22

Occupation: Office worker

Likes: games, heavy metal, romantic movies, cats, and Jane

Dislikes: working, shopping, microwaves

Eerick is a young game nerd, who is extremely lazy. He often starts overthinking things and gets easily stressed. He is stuck to his boring job because his laziness is holding him back. Recently some really disturbing dreams have been tormenting him. 

Jane

Age: 27

Occupation: Office worker

Likes: cooking, cakes, romantic movies and Eerick

Dislikes: The Boss, birds, cigarettes, and bananas

Jane is a kind, cheerful person, who looks after her coworkers. She often bakes for her coworkers, which might be the reason why Eerick is so healthy. She has a big crush on Eerick, but her shyness holds her back. She is saving money so that someday she can open her own pastry shop. 

Controls

Mouse

Click the left mouse button to proceed/move around the screen/click things.

Keyboard

You can press enter/space to proceed with the text. You can also press "A" to put the game on auto mode.  You have to use the mouse for choices/looking at the screen.

Gameplay

When you are in any room, try to click on different things. The mouse cursor will change if you click the object.

During the text gameplay, you can choose different options under the text bubble. For example, change the music volume and adjust the text speed by choosing config.  You can also save/load the game.

The skip button is high-speed. To end the skip you have to click the left mouse button.  I would recommend using save/load for a better experience. 

Recommended save spots in the game:

In front of the elevator.

When you first see Jane and start talking to her. 

This is the first game I made and I’m interested to know your thoughts about the game. I'm not a native English speaker so there are probably some spelling mistakes. Please leave comments below.
